A group of internet artists from all over the place who have decided to give each other a challenge every few weeks, on a theme chosen by each in turn. We have different ideas and styles, but share a love of textiles, and want to have some fun.

From Sandra Wyman

I have health problems at the moment as a result of which I really have to cut down on what I do and let myself off the hook.  This means I am having to become ultra-selective, and unfortunately this in turn means that I need to resign from the group - a pity because I have enjoyed meeting the people here - not to mention enjoying all the beautiful work people have produced.

I'm sure the group will go from strength to strength - I hope so anyway!

So sorry you're not able to continue Sandra. Look after yourself and hopefully feel better soon. xx We'll miss you here.

Hi all,
I got an email from Kathryn Robertson who wants to join the group. As I think it should be a group decision on who joins the group, I've copied her email down below so we can all decide.

Hi Claire,
I am really keen to join the International Quilt Challenge and am hoping you have a vacancy.
I am a friend of Felicity's and an inaugural member of the Art Quilts around the World challenge group with her. http://aroundtheworldin20quilts.blogspot.com.au
Examples of my work can be seen on that blog, or on my (very) new personal blog: contextilequilting.blogspot.com.au
http://contextilequilting.blogspot.com.au

I have been quilting since 1985, and also teach P&Q locally, and have exhibited at a number of quilting shows, both traditional and art quilts, including the Australasian Quilt Convention. I am one of a small group who have been delegates to every convention since its inception. Being a member of AQATW I have experience in being a member of an online challenge group, not just in completing the challenges, but in supporting and engaging with the other members.

Thanks for your consideration,
Warm regards

Kathryn sounds like she would be a great addition to the group, I'm all for new blood :-)

i am a friend of Kathryn's and can vouch for her work which is always interesting, thoughtful and technically excellent. She is also a lovely person and would make a great member of this group

I am all for a new member. At the last count we were 4 down & now number 13. For the suspicious amongst you there is an obvious solution!

Frauke who blogs as quiltexle would also like to come into the group since Elma has also had to withdraw. She has put a message on our facebook page.
