heart reflections

here is my piece for the light and shadow challenge. after a few experiments and false starts and a measure of despair i finally sat down and put all of that experience into this.
layered wool/hemp; silk organza; hemp/linen/ plastic transparency. machine stitched then sprayed with ink and some finger painting with red and turquoise fabric paint.

I love your techniques - you show no fear!! I love the round next to the angular, spikey quilting. And is your heart in your hand? The photo came out well in the end too.

Wow, wonderful contrasts as Annabel says, and light reflected can make it hard to see the details so a very interesting take on the theme.

Hi Lisette, really like the stiching on your piece. Also like the idea of using plastic transparencies to sew through - must give that a go sometime!

Very interesting piece. Great stitching, really effectual. Is it A4 sized?
