A group of internet artists from all over the place who have decided to give each other a challenge every few weeks, on a theme chosen by each in turn. We have different ideas and styles, but share a love of textiles, and want to have some fun.

The Second Challenge...

has been set by Angela. The theme is 'Through The Window', and was inspired by a visit to Lacock Abbey; the holiday is, as Angela says, proving inspiring! The end date for this challenge is the 25 October; go to it!

This was the original post...after a storm of protest, the date is now 25 November, as it should have been from the start. Mea culpa, many apologies.

Ooooh, not long then! Thanks, Angela, it is a good one. I'll have to get busy for this challenge, with my operation on Monday week (which I guess is why I was getting a bit stressy about the subject)

Sue, if you need longer, just holler...

OK, you've changed it to every month not every two months. I can't work to this schedule, so I'll withdraw and you can give my place to someone else on the waiting list.
Have fun everyone!

Ok, I'm really sorry but I can't manage such a tight schedule either. There's just too much other stuff on for me at the moment. Please also give my place to someone on the waiting list, and all the best to everyone, I'm sure you'll have fun!

What was the original intention for the length of each challenge? Was it two months, or six weeks?

I don't think every month is realistic for most of us

I agree, I don't think I can manage every month either, some months it is just impossible for me to do much artwork at all.

Difficult for me too - I'm about to go on holiday for a week and all my weekends (the only time I have for sewing) are spoken for in October.
Don't want to lose everyone from the group just when we're getting going.
Two months is a stimulating challenge - One month is plain anxiety.

Err...okay, I made another mistake. I'm really sorry. Mea culpa...I'm struggling with depression at the moment and it tends to knock out one's attention to detail. No excuse... but hey. In case you hadn't noticed, I don't take large scale unilateral decisions :-), so wouldn't have deliberately changed the timescale without consulting everyone. If you, the group, would prefer an administrator who is in her right mind, please let me know and I'll stand down again in favour of whoever volunteers. Otherwise, the date is 25 November, and it's up to each one of you whether you wish to continue.

'Two months is a stimulating challenge - One month is plain anxiety' - Yes, my thoughts exactly!!!

I am so glad the Oct 25 was a typo, I was about to type my exit post.

Phew, back to the challenge then.

Marion, to err is human. I'm just relieved, not annoyed. A typo is better than an exit.

I know how time consuming blogging is. I'm very grateful that you took this on.

Thanks, Esther.

Crikey that's a relief Marion. If the space is still there I'll give it a go then! 25th November is much better, thank you xx

Did we lose anyone? Are new members joining? Have I missed something?

That's what I was wondering as well, has somebody dropped out of the group? I thought membership of the group was full at this time.

I'll leave Marion to update you on comings and goings as she's in charge now, but Jenny was offered a place when I was admin., and she joined a bit late to start the last challenge (mid way through). So she's been waiting to start this next one with us. Can't wait to see what you get up to Jenny!

Ah, that's where Jenny came from . I've been trying to get hold of Sally to see if she intends to hold to her withdrawal, given that I have her phone number :-). Otherwise, I haven't heard anything more than you have. If I haven't heard anything by the weekend, I'll contact people individually to see what the story is.
